Your Contributions

When you contribute agent information, edits, or other content to QueryBase, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, modify, and display that content as part of the Service.

Community Benefit

Contributed content becomes part of our shared database to benefit the writing community. This content may be visible to other users and may be retained even if your account is deleted (anonymously) to maintain database integrity.

Your Private Data

Your private data—including your personal query tracking, submission dates, and notes—remains yours. This data is not shared with other users or third parties (except as described in our Privacy Policy).

Accuracy Requirements

You represent that any information you contribute is accurate to the best of your knowledge. Deliberate submission of false information may result in account suspension.

Our Property

The Service, including its design, features, code, and branding, is owned by QueryBase and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute our platform without permission.

User Content

You retain ownership of any original content you create (such as personal notes). However, factual information about agents (like submission guidelines or response times) is not owned by any individual user.

Literary agent information changes frequently. Always verify submission guidelines, agent status, and contact information directly with agents or their agencies before querying.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, QueryBase and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to:

• Loss of profits, data, or business opportunities
• Damages arising from reliance on agent information
• Damages from unauthorized access to your account
• Any other damages arising from your use of the Service

Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us (if any) in the 12 months preceding the claim.

By You

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time through your account settings or by contacting us.

By Us

We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms, engage in harmful behavior, or for any other reason at our discretion. We will try to provide notice when reasonable.

Effect of Termination

Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases. Your private data will be deleted, though anonymized contributions may be retained.
